Overview
Role summary
We are seeking a talented, full-stack Senior Rails Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design and develop cutting-edge web applications that serve the transportation industry using Ruby on Rails and Amazon Web Services. You will collaborate across core application development, mobile, integrations, infrastructure, and UI work while helping improve day-to-day operations for freight brokers.
What you’ll do
You will contribute across application development, infrastructure, and ongoing platform improvement.

Build Ruby on Rails applications
- Design and develop commercial web applications that serve the transportation industry.

Integrate services and infrastructure
- Work with external APIs, AWS services, and the infrastructure needed to deploy and operate applications reliably.

Improve quality and performance
- Optimize application performance, maintain test coverage, and help improve CI/CD and DevOps systems.

Support existing technology
- Help resolve customer-reported issues and contribute to the long-term stability of the platform.
Requirements
Requirements and skills
We are looking for an experienced full-stack engineer who can ship production software and work across the stack with confidence.

Commercial web application experience
- Experience building and deploying production web applications.

Strong Ruby on Rails background
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and at least one object-oriented web framework.

Frontend and database depth
- Deep experience with JavaScript development, relational database theory, and SQL.

Systems and design judgment
- Understanding of multi-threading, database contention, object-oriented design, and user-centered interaction design.

Collaborative engineering workflow
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows. Logistics industry experience is a bonus.

Success in this role means shipping scalable, reliable features that improve BrokerPro for freight brokers while balancing delivery speed with software quality. The strongest candidates are comfortable taking ownership, moving across application and infrastructure concerns, and collaborating well with engineers, support, and product stakeholders.
